Common questions
Is distilled water safe to drink every day?
Yes. Distilled water is simply pure H₂O with contaminants removed. Most people get minerals from food, not water, and many add a pinch of mineral drops if they prefer. It is widely used for drinking, cooking and health.
How long does one batch take?
About 5.5–6 hours to distil a full gallon (4 litres), fully automatic. The unit shuts off by itself when finished.
Do I need to install it or connect plumbing?
No. Megahome distillers are countertop and plug & play — just fill the chamber, plug in and press start. No plumbing, no installation.
What does it remove?
Distillation significantly reduces a wide range of contaminants — heavy metals such as lead, fluoride, nitrates, bacteria and dissolved solids (TDS). Some volatile compounds can travel with the steam, which is why every Megahome distiller has an activated-carbon post-filter.
How do I clean and descale it?

What's the difference between the glass and PP bottle?
The glass bottle is taste- and odour-neutral for the purest result; the PP bottle is lightweight and shatter-resistant. Both include an activated-carbon post filter.
